Eden and I went out to the McCreery Great Kiva site in preparation for the Archaeology month hike. It is a pretty interesting site, and the only thing like it we have in the area.

Got to go out into the expansion lands this week into an area I have never been to before. I am standing on a small hilltop PIII pueblo overlooking the Little Colorado River. We also found a nice little Archaic point.

New work truck

I picked this truck up as a project for work. I'm going to work on getting it running this summer.

This weekend I drained the water set aside for mortar mixing out of our surplus water buffalo. I created a tiny waterfall in the middle of the desert.

Mining Archaeology

Here is a shot above a uranium mine in the park's expansion. It appears there was an underground tunnel and the remains of 18" rail track are found across the site.

Fall above Durango

I got to give an archaeology talk in Durango last fall. I forgot to clean the pictures off the camera. The leaves changing in the mountains with the rain and fog, and later snow was pretty spectacular.
