We hiked out into a new part of the park trying to track down a couple reported archaeology sites. If you look closely you can see the pickup parked near the center of the picture.

Monsoonal floods

First snow of the year...

Here is a view of the Painted Desert with the first snow of the year falling. 

And another shot of accumulating in the badlands and as I write this is is finally starting to cover the ground outside the office. It has been raining here off and on for the last four days and this might mark the end of the 2013 archaeological field season.
