For this weeks photo I have a picture of the only complete pot I have ever seen (and collected) from the field:


The vessel is an undecorated white ware collected from a Pueblo III site north of the Rio Puerco.

    I love plainwares and I am a ceramicist, but that is the UGLIEST pot that I have ever seen.

    I, however, have NEVER found a whole vessel and am completely jealous.

      I'm sorry that you think it is an ugly pot. I think they did the best that they could. I cannot even get my pinky finger inside the thing, so it was made by somebody with hands far more delicate than mine...
