I came across an old homestead in the back country this afternoon while out looking for petroglyphs:

I thought it was an eerie window into the future of a friend of mine, who I can see living in a similar station at any moment.

  1. Oh man, the double-door bus! I bet we could get her running again . . .

    1. It was actually pretty awesome. The engine and trans-axle were missing. And unfortunately the bar between the two openings for the windshield. I'm not sure it that could be replaced. But the rest of it was there and the body was pretty decent, aside from some bullet holes and shotgun speckle. I had no idea, but it looks like the spare tire was behind the front seat in the little separated cab.

  2. Isn't it totally functional in the desert where it is already?

    1. I guess it depends on how you define functional...
